“ Sex chromosome evolution during the transition from dioicy to monoicy in liverworts ”
Sex-determination systems and their underlying molecular mechanisms are highly diverse among organisms. In this study, I will present the results of genome sequencing of the liverwort Marchantia quadrata, which transitioned from dioicy to monoicy during evolution, with a particular focus on the fate of the sex chromosomes.
